Smart Rooms at OhioHealth
OhioHealth has successfully implemented "smart rooms" at its Pickerington Methodist Hospital, which opened in December 2023. These innovative rooms, developed in partnership with companies like eVideon and Caregility, incorporate smart TVs, digital whiteboards, bedside tablets, and virtual nursing capabilities. The initiative aims to enhance patient experience, improve staff satisfaction, and reduce nursing turnover by offloading administrative tasks from bedside nurses. The success at Pickerington is paving the way for the expansion of this smart room technology across other OhioHealth facilities.
